Angie Mayo's psychotherapy practice exclusively serves adults and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety. Her specific areas of interest include anxiety, relational issues, self-esteem and identity development, life transitions, and depression. She is committed to providing thoughtful, modern, goal-directed services tailored to each client.
Angie works together with clients to provide thoughtful and effective therapy. Angie Mayo is highly trained, collaborative, and utilizes the latest research to bring a sophisticated understanding of neurobiology, environment, and social and emotional development to her work. Angie enjoys developing relationships with her clients and supporting them using a strengths-based approach that feels supportive and non-judgmental.
Angie has specialized training in Clinical Anxiety Treatment, Internal Family System (IFS) Skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Theory. In addition to private practice, Angie has worked in hospice, college counseling center, and foster care settings. Before her clinical work Angie worked as a contractor for the United States Government in Afghanistan, Liberia, and Tanzania and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa for 2 years.
